A Pell City man was found dead Sunday in a crash vehicle in the woods line off Interstate 459 in Jefferson County.

Alabama State Troopers and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as James B. Myers II. He was 26.

Authorities said Myers was driving a Toyota Tacoma that left I-459 near Interstate 20 at 7:12 p.m. Saturday and went into the woods. That location is about one mile east of Irondale.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said Myers was not using a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The crash was not discovered until Sunday.  Myers was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:50 p.m.

Troopers are investigating.
