258-unit Highfield Madison apartments opening in June in Huntsville
The 258-unit Highfield Madison apartment complex will welcome its first residents on June 1.
The complex, owned by Houston-based developer i3, is located at U.S. 72 and Nance Road. Matt Maglothin, i3 chief investment officer, told the Lede the complete build out for the community will be in August.
“When we’re building apartments, what we try to consider is ‘is this a location I want to live in?’” he said. “When you look at the area, you have a grocery store right out front. You have a bunch of restaurants along 72. You’re close to the Village of Providence just to your east, as well as MidCity and Bridge Street.”
The complex also sits near Sprouts Farmer’s Market Grocery and Academy Sports.
“For Huntsville specifically, Highway 72 is a pretty big artery for residents,” Maglothin said. “You can get to the Redstone Arsenal. You can get downtown. If you go west, you can kind of cut over to the Mazda Toyota plant. I don’t know that we’re targeting students necessarily, but the University of Alabama-Huntsville is not far.”
