$2,500 reward offered in unsolved 2022 slaying of 19-year-old central Alabama father

A reward is being offered for the 2022 unsolved homicide a young Lowndes County father.

Quindarious Keondre “Young Goat” Shuford, 19, was found slain July 13, 2022, inside a vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched about 6 p.m. that Wednesday to the area of Brown Road and Highway 80 in the White Hall community, where they found Shuford dead. An autopsy showed he had been shot.

Investigators and the victim’s family continue to seek answers in this ongoing homicide investigation, according to Central Alabama Crime Stoppers. On Tuesday, they announced a $2,500 reward for information that leads to the identity and arrest of the suspect.

Shuford graduated from Park Crossing High School in May of 2021. He was attending Fortis College to become an HVAC technician.

He was the father of a young son who is named after him.

“Quindarious was a talented artist. He loved rapping. Music was a passion,’’ according to his obituary. “Quinn loved harvesting from his garden, especially the cabbage, because it grew the fastest. He was proud to share his collards and tomatoes with family and friends.”
