A West Blocton man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday in Shelby County.

Alabama State Troopers on Saturday identified the fatality victim as Justin A. Hartley. He was 25.

The wreck happened at 5:50 p.m. on Shelby County 13 near Shelby County 1. That location is about nine miles southwest of Helena.

Trooper Sgt. Jeremy Burkett said Hartley was driving a Chevrolet Camaro that left the road and struck two utility poles. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
