A 24-year-old man was killed in a crash in east Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim Friday as Christopher Dewayne Williams.

The crash happened at 10:46 p.m. Wednesday in the 8500 block of First Avenue North. Authorities said multiple vehicles were involved but details of what happened weren’t released.

Williams was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:11 p.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
