24-year-old Auburn woman charged in deadly Montgomery shooting
An Auburn woman is behind bars, accused in a weekend shooting in Montgomery that left another woman dead.
Hanna Brooke Bentley, 24, is charged with murder.
Killed was 45-year-old Jovon Prince.
Montgomery police Lt. David Wise said officers and fire medics were dispatched at 6:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of person shot in the 2000 block of Locust Street.
Prince was found dead on the scene.
Circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting have not been released.
Bentley was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility early Sunday. She remains held without bond.
Prince is Montgomery’s 25th homicide this year.
