23-year-old woman shot to death while driving on the Strip in Tuscaloosa
A woman was fatally shot early Sunday on the Strip in Tuscaloosa.
Authorities have not released her name, but said she was 23 years old.
Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy said the shooting happened about 1:45 a.m.
The victim was in a vehicle in the area of Grace Street and University Boulevard when the gunfire erupted. The driver continued along University Boulevard until finding a University of Alabama police officer to help.
Kennedy said investigators have located multiple witnesses and possible suspects are in custody.
No additional information is being released at this time.
