An Oxford man has died from injuries after his truck collided with two vehicles in Calhoun County on Friday.

Cristian Soto, 22, was driving a Ford Fusion on Friday on Airport Road, just west of Oxford, when he collided head-on with a tractor-trailer around 11:35 a.m.

Douglas Smith, 63, of Dakota City, Nebraska was driving the tractor-trailer, per an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency release.

Then, Soto’s truck hit a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, driven by Jordy Perez, 21, of Oxford.

Soto was then transported to Birmingham’s UAB Hospital, and he has since been pronounced dead.
