22-year-old charged in deadly double shooting in Brookside

A Birmingham man has been charged in the shooting of two brothers in Brookside, one of whom died.

Dorian Alexander Jones-Pullom, 22, is charged with murder in the June 29 slaying of 43-year-old David Lynn Frazier, police Chief Henry Irby announced Thursday.

Jones-Pullom is also charged with attempted murder in the wounding of Frazier’s brother, whose name has not been released, and with shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.

He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Thursday and is being held without bond.

Officers were dispatched just before 6 p.m. Thursday to the public housing community on Village Circle on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they found the adult brothers had both sustained wounds. Frazier was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:26 p.m., and the other victim was taken to an area hospital.

Irby said those involved knew each other.

The deadly shooting is Brookside’s first homicide in recent memory.

Irby said the case is still ongoing. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Brookside Police Department at 205-674-9275 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
