A 21-year-old woman was killed overnight in a single-vehicle crash in Jackson County.

Alabama State Troopers said Alexis White, of Bridgeport, was driving a Toyota Corolla that left the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.

The wreck happened on Alabama 73 near Jackson County 724, about five miles north of Higdon.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said White was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
