A 21-year-old man was killed this weekend in a single-vehicle crash on County Road 25 in Cleburne County, authorities said Saturday.

State troopers identified the man as Ethan L. Bailey of Ranburne. Bailey was remembered on social media Saturday morning as “one of the sweetest and kindest souls” around. He was engaged to be married.

Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene around midnight Saturday after his 2001 Ford Ranger left the roadway and overturned about 13 miles outside of Ranburne, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car, ALEA said.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the incident and has not provided any further information.
