Where can I watch the 2023 BET Awards without cable?
Though airing on BET, those without a regular cable subscription can still live stream the awards show with Paramount+, Philo or FuboTV, all of which offer free trials for new subscribers.
If you’re unsure which streaming service you should go with for tonight’s event, we can break it down.
What is Paramount+?
Paramount+ offers a variety of shows from popular channels such as Nickelodeon, the Smithsonian Channel, VH1, MTV, Comedy Central, BET and CBS. However, the streaming service now allows users to live stream certain content as it premieres on regular TV from these channels (such as The BET Awards).
After it’s free trial, Paramount+ subscribers can either select the essentials plan for $4.99 with limited ads or the premium package for $9.99 without ads. However, users will need the premium package to live-stream The 2023 BET Awards.
Those with the essentials plan can re-watch the awards show the day after it premieres.
What is Philo?
Philo is considered one of the cheaper live streaming services available as it allows users to stream over 70 live channels for just $25 a month.
Live channels offered with Philo include Hallmark, Lifetime, AMC, HGTV, MTV, VH1, the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, CMT, BET and more.
What is FuboTV?
FuboTV is meant for those looking for an alternative to basic cable, but with more channel options.
FuboTV considers itself a sports-focused streaming service. Its standard package comes with over 100 live channels for $74.99 a month including ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, TLC, MTV and much more.
The live-streaming service also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.
