2000s R&B group singer ‘should be dead’ after car crash left him with broken neck, ribs, skull

Brandon Casey posted he “should be dead.” Instead, the singer for popular R&B group Jagged Edge is recovering from injuries in an Atlanta Hospital after a car crash.

Casey posted news of the July 11, along with photos of his car on Instagram.

“I never post these type pictures upon delivering news that I been hurt cuz the people who really love me don’t play about me and I don’t wanna add to they fright of how I may be doin but ima just post this jus so u know neither wreck was a fender Bender,” he posted. “I could be probably should be dead. Oh except the Big fact that God does protect his flock.”

In another post Casey laid out the details of his injuries. He said he had a broken neck, five broken ribs, a skull fracture, scalp lacerations and more.

“I have to send a big Thank u to (Grady Hospital) after bein in ICU for five days,” he wrote. “I kno the legendary Grady Trauma Center is everything it’s said to Be the Best in the country. Yall saved my life and I’m forever grateful.”

Casey fronts Jagged Edge along with his twin brother, Brian Casey. The group, which also includes Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman, rose to fame in the early 2000s with such hits as “Let’s Get Married,” “He Can’t Love U” and “Promise.”
