A 20-year-old man died Christmas Eve after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a tree in Sylacauga, authorities said Monday.

Gabriel L. Satterfield, 20, of Sylacauga, was riding a 2023 Kawasaki ZX63 motorcycle on Cedar Creek Road in Talladega County when the bike left the road and struck a tree around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal.

Satterfield was taken to Coosa Valley Medical Center where he died of his injuries.

The crash occurred about 13 miles west of Sylacauga, said O’Neal.
