A Birmingham toddler died Tuesday, three days after he was found unresponsive in a pool.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the child as Damarion Henry. He was 2.

Damarion was found unresponsive at 7:20 p.m. Saturday in an above ground pool at his home in the 4500 block of 74th Place North, authorities said.

He was taken to Children’s of Alabama where he was pronounced dead at 1:57 a.m. Tuesday.

No additional details have been released. Birmingham police are investigating.
