Two workers were injured, including one hospitalized in critical condition, after the bucket lift they were using was struck by a tractor-trailer Tuesday in Troy.

The men were using the bucket lift to work on a structure in the 100 block of North 3 Notch Street before 2 p.m. Tuesday when the tractor-trailer struck the bucket, witnesses told Troy police, according to WSFA.

The workers were thrown from the bucket lift and onto the road, Troy Police Chief Randall Barr told the station.

The tractor-trailer continued driving southbound when officers found the vehicle on Henderson Highway

Troy police say two men were injured in an automobile incident while working on a building this week.

The workers were taken to a Montgomery hospital, where one of the men is listed in critical condition as of Wednesday afternoon. The other was released Tuesday.

Charges have not been filed in the incident, which remained under investigation Wednesday.
