2 women shot, seriously injured in Homewood apartment complex parking lot
An investigation is underway after two women were shot and seriously injured in Homewood.
The shooting happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Valley ridge Drive, police announced Tuesday evening. That location is the parking lot at the Valora at Homewood apartments.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found both women wounded inside a vehicle, said Lt. John Carr.
The investigation indicates the women were sitting inside the vehicle when an unknown suspect approached them and opened fire.
Both victims were taken to UAB Hospital with serious injuries, Carr said.
A motive has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been made.
