2 UAB online programs ranked in top 25 by U.S. News & World Report
The University of Alabama at Birmingham has expanded its online program significantly over the past 10 years. Along with it, they’ve also seen a big increase in the number of students taking advantage of those programs.
And those programs have been getting some attention lately.
Two UAB Collat School of Business online programs are now ranked in the Top 25 — the online graduate computer information technology degree and online graduate business degree in accounting – by U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs.
“These rankings prove that our online students, whether they are in a blended or purely online program, receive the same educational experience from the comfort of home, while having a flexible schedule through thoughtfully crafted and innovative online class technology,” said Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and UAB Provost Pam Benoit.
U.S veterans also can get VA education benefits for online classes or attend in-person classes if they want to. If veterans are on active duty, they can attend online class from anywhere.
The UAB Collat School of Business online Master of Business Administration degree is in the top 15 percent nationwide with a U.S. News & World Report ranking of 51.
Other UAB online programs and their rankings from U.S. News & World Report are: UAB Online bachelor’s degree programs ranked 42nd, placing the online undergraduate programs in the top 12 percent in the country; the UAB School of Education’s online Master of Education degree was 37th; the UAB College of Arts and Sciences online Master of Science degree in criminal justice ranked 43rd..
Two UAB online programs were listed under specialty rankings, including the online bachelor’s degree in psychology, which ranked 28th, and the online bachelor’s degree in business, ranking at 44th.
UAB has wide-ranging online programs, with 11 undergraduate programs, 25 graduate programs, 13 undergraduate minor programs and 28 certificate programs.
