2 teens killed in I-85 wreck in east Alabama now identified

Authorities have released the names of two teens killed in a crash on Interstate 85 last week.

Valley Police Chief Mike Reynolds on Wednesday identified the fatality victims as Ampmeko Zyquan Trammell and Quintavius Jamaal Harris. Both were 19 and lived in Lanett.

The wreck happened at 4:21 a.m. Friday on I-85 northbound near the 73-mile marker.

Trammell and Harris were pronounced dead on the scene.

A third occupant, also 19 and from Lanett, was ejected from the vehicle and found in the median. He was taken to Piedmont Hospital in Columbus.

The accident is still under investigation by the Valley Police Department and the Chambers County Coroner’s office.
