Two deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office were seriously injured in a Wednesday morning shooting.

The shooting happened in the Meadowbrook community off of U.S. 280.

The deputies are being taken to UAB Hospital by firefighters with a police escort.

Authorities are still investigating at the scene.
