Two men were killed in a single vehicle crash Sunday morning in Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified one of the victims as Carim Rasheed Heard. He was 29 and lived in McCalla.

The second victim, also an adult Black male, has not yet been identified.

The wreck happened at 6:10 a.m. in the 400 block of Eighth Avenue West. Details of the crash have not been released.

Heard was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:53 a.m.

The other victim was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:25 a.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
