2 killed in Monday traffic crashes in Birmingham, Hoover
Two people were killed in traffic cashes Monday in Jefferson County, one in Birmingham and the other in Hoover.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Lloyd Felix Jordan, 51, and Tanisha Ann Agnew, 38.
Jordan was the lone rider of a motorcycle when authorities say he struck a curb and crashed into a street sign.
The wreck happened at 10:37 p.m. on 20th Street at Avenue J in Ensley.
Jordan was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m.
Birmingham police are investigating.
Agnew’s wreck happened on Longleaf Drive at Lodge Drive, said Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
Yates said her vehicle left the road and hit a tree. A time was not provided.
She was taken to Grandview Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m.
Hoover police are investigating.
