2 killed, 3 injured in Choctaw County rollover crash

Two people were killed and three others injured in a Christmas Day crash in Choctaw County.

Alabama State Troopers on Friday announced the crash and identified the victims. The reason for the delay was not immediately clear.

The wreck happened at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, on Alabama 10, about six miles east of Butler.

Senior Trooper Kendra McKinney identified those killed as Adrian Guerrero Hernandez, 32, and Juan De La Cruz Rosales, 47, both of Sweetwater.

The two fatality victims were passengers in a Chevrolet Silverado that left the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Neither Hernandez nor Rosales were using seat belts at the time of the crash and were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup, 27-year-old Jesus Arvizu Otero, was injured and transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Additional passengers, Saul Arvizu Garcia, 30, and Guillermo Guerrero Hernandez, 53, were injured and transported to USA Hospital in Mobile for treatment
