Two 18-year-old men from Tennessee were arrested on Christmas Eve after they were discovered with a 13-year-old Florence girl.

Sgt. Cliff Billingsley of Florence police said Jarvan J. Theus and Malek A. Taylor were both arrested for traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.

The two are being held on $60,000 bond each.

According to Billingsley, Florence police were called to a residence on Dec. 24 after a 13-year-old girl was reported as running away from home at about 2 a.m.

The girl was later located by police at about 3:30 a.m., accompanied by Theus and Taylor, Billingsley said.

A police investigation determined that sexual acts had occurred.
