2 arrested, 1 charged with attempted murder, following North Alabama shooting

Two people were arrested this morning following what authorities said was a shooting that left a “large crime scene” in Limestone County.

The incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. at 26335 Johnson Lane, when deputies responded to a shooting.

One victim, whose name was not released, fled the scene on foot. A condition report was not provided.

Investigators developed two suspects, who authorities said fled in a vehicle. The two were later taken into custody at Winchester Road and U.S. 231 after a search by Limestone and Madison County investigators, Huntsville police and the U.S. Marshals.

According to Limestone County Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin, the two still had the firearm used in the shooting with them.

Brandon Donald Culley, 27, of Elkmont, has been charged with attempted murder, shooting into an unoccupied vehicle and reckless endangerment. He has been released from the Limestone County Detention Center on a $33,500 bond.

Kayla Renee White, 34, of Huntsville, has been charged with first degree hindering prosecution and has been released from the Limestone County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
