19-year-old killed in Tuscaloosa shooting

A Monday night shooting in Tuscaloosa left a teen dead.

Authorities on Tuesday identified the victim as Christopher King Jr. He was 19.

Tuscaloosa police were dispatched at 9 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2200 block of Reece Boulevard.

King was found critically wounded and taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where he later died.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released, but Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy said a person of interested has been located.

The investigation is ongoing.
