A 19-year-old bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run in Cullman County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as Dakota R. Lamons. He lived in Hanceville and had four children.

The crash happened at 6:46 p.m. Thursday on Alabama 91 near Cullman County 501, about eight miles south of Hanceville.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said Lamons was riding a bicycle when he was struck and thrown from his bicycle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2007 to 2014 white Chevrolet Silverado or a GMC Sierra with the entire passenger side black mirror missing from the vehicle.
