18-year-old on motorcycle killed in north Alabama crash
A traffic accident in Lauderdale County on Thursday claimed the life of a 18-year-old, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The agency said that the accident involved a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado colliding head on with a motorcycle driven by the teen.
The teen was taken to a local hospital for treatment but later died from the sustained injuries.
The truck was driven by Michael W. Ghrigsby, 60, of Florence.
The accident occurred on Rasch Road near Augusta Street which is about one mile west of Florence, the agency said.
The incident continues to be investigated by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
