A Vinemont teen was killed in motorcycle crash in Cullman County earlier this week.

The Cullman County Coroner’s Office on Friday identified the victim as Weston Clay Montgomery. He was 18.

The crash happened at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 65 near Alabama 157. That is one mile south of Cullman.

Senior Alabama State Trooper Brandon Bailey said Montgomery was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle when he hit a 2013 Honda Odyssey driven by 50-year-old Brian E. Gott of Lexington.

After the initial impact, Bailey said, the motorcycle left the road and struck a guardrail.

Montgomery was thrown from the motorcycle and was taken to Cullman Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
