17-year-old killed in Hueytown drive-by shooting
A teen boy was killed early Saturday when someone fired on a vehicle in which he was a passenger.
Hueytown police said the shooting happened between 2 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of 27th Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old boy had sustained gunshot wounds. He was pronounce dead on the scene.
Officials said his identity will be released at a later time by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
No arrests have been announced.
The teen is Hueytown’s second homicide this year.
