A second suspect has been arrested in last week’s shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Montgomery.

Montgomery police officials said another 16-year-old boy was taken into custody Thursday on charges of attempted murder and capital murder.

Authorities previously announced the arrest of a 15-year-old girl on the same charges.

Police have not released the names of the victim or the suspects because of their ages.

The shooting happened at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the 3500 block of Carter Hill Road. The young victim was taken to a Montgomery hospital where he died two days later.

The 15-year-old girl is being held in the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility.

The 16-year-old suspect is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Center.

Additional details about the shooting have not been released.
