16-year-old boy seriously injured in shooting at southwest Birmingham convenience store
An investigation is underway after a teen was seriously injured Wednesday night in a Birmingham shooting.
West Precinct officers were notified about 10 p.m. that a 16-year-old boy had shown up at Princeton Baptist Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald said the preliminary investigation indicates the teen was shot at the Citgo at 2714 Pearson Avenue. Details surrounding the shooting have not yet been released.
A store customer then drove the teen to the hospital. The victim has life-threatening injuries.
Fitzgerald said no arrests have been made.
