15-year-old boy among 2 charged with capital murder in Montgomery homicide
Two suspects, including a young teen, have been charged with capital murder in the Friday shooting death of a man in Montgomery.
Melvin Watters, 20, and a 15-year-old boy, are charged in the slaying of 20-year-old David Green.
Officers responded to South Haardt Drive about 12:20 a.m. Friday to a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman.
Green was pronounced dead on the scene.
Watters and the 15-year-old were taken into custody Friday night by Montgomery Police Department’s Special Operations Division and homicide detectives.
Waters is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility. The teen is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility.
A motive has not been disclosed.
