10 Alabama football players earn NFL Combine invites
The NFL’s full list of invitees for the 2024 scouting combine was released on Tuesday. As usual, there was plenty of Alabama football representation among the 321 invited prospects.
10 Crimson Tide players were included on the list. Alabama had multiple invitees at two positions, defensive back and linebacker.
The combine is scheduled for Feb. 26- March 4 in Indianapolis. Here’s the full list of Alabama’s invitees.
Jase McClellan– Running back
The Texas native started 12 games at RB for the Crimson Tide in 2023, his first season as a starter. He rushed for 890 yards and eight touchdowns last season, while also contributing to the passing game with 15 catches for 137 yards.
Jermaine Burton– Wide receiver
Burton finished his career with the Crimson Tide after transferring in from Georgia, where he was part of the 2021 Bulldog national championship team. He gave the 2023 Crimson Tide a deep passing threat, going for 798 yards on 39 catches, with eight touchdowns.
JC Latham– Offensive line
Latham declared for the NFL Draft after his junior season. The 6-foot-6, 360-pound tackle was voted first-team all-SEC in both the coaches and AP media polls.
Justin Eboigbe– Defensive line
Eboigbe returned from an an injury that sidelined him for most of the 2022 campaign, and showed out last season. He earned first-team all-SEC honors from the league’s coaches, and had seven sacks and 64 tackles, 11.5 of them for loss.
Chris Braswell– Linebacker
Braswell got his chance to shine in 2023 after sitting behind Will Anderson in Tuscaloosa. He performed well in the increased role, racking up eight sacks, three forced fumbles and 42 total tackles.
Dallas Turner– Linebacker
Turner got to start at Alabama as a freshman and never looked back. He became one of the nation’s top edge-rushers opposite Anderson and Braswell, earning consensus first-team all-America honors and the SEC’s defensive player of the year award in 2023.
Terrion Arnold– Defensive back
Arnold earned a first-team all-American nod from the Associated Press for his 2023 season, also making first-team all-SEC on the coaches poll. He led UA with five interceptions, which tied for the conference lead with Kentucky’s Maxwell Hairston.
Jaylen Key– Defensive back
Key spent the first four seasons of his college career at UAB before transferring to Tuscaloosa for the 2023 campaign. He earned a starting safety spot and collected 60 total tackles and an interception.
Kool-Aid McKinstry– Defensive back
McKinstry earned AP and Sporting News first-team all-America honors last season, and was also first-team all-SEC. The cornerback had 32 tackles for the Crimson Tide in 2023.
Will Reichard– Kicker
Reichard spent five seasons at Alabama, and became the NCAA’s all-time points leader. He made 22 of his 25 field goal attempts in 2023, with a long of 52.
