1 seriously injured in shooting on Birmingham’s Pearson Avenue
An investigation is underway after an afternoon shooting in west Birmingham.
The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Pearson Avenue.
Sgt. LaQuitta Wade the adult male victim, and the unknown suspect got into a verbal altercation which led to the suspect shooting the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service took the wounded man to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been announced.
