1 killed in two-vehicle crash, driver arrested for manslaughter in north Alabama
A Madison man has been arrested following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday that killed a Harvest man.
Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the incident occurred at about 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, on Blake Bottom Road near Misty Hollow Way, approximately six miles south of Harvest.
Dennis R. Salazar, 37, was operating a 2022 Suzuki GSX-R 750 motorcycle when it struck a 2007 Lincoln MKX, driven by Ryan A. Dohrmann, 37, of Madison.
Salazar was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the crash, Dohrmann was arrested at the scene and charged with manslaughter, Bailey said. Dohrmann was transported and booked into the Madison County Jail. He is being held on $30,000 bond.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
