A predawn crash in Jefferson County left one man dead.

Sheriff’s deputies responded about 3 a.m. Sunday to the 8600 block of Rouse Road near Warrior after receiving repots of a vehicle on its side in a ditch.

When they arrived, deputies found a white SUV had rolled multiple times and came to a rest in the ditch, said Lt. Joni Money.

A 33-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene and is conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will confirm the identity of the victim.
