1 killed, 3 injured in weekend Fort Payne crash
Fort Payne police said one person was killed in a crash on Interstate 59 North on Sunday.
Gavino Diego Francisco, 21, of Fort Payne, died from his injuries at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.
According to police, Francisco Felipe Juan, 23, was driving a 2012 Infinity G37 when it struck a cable barrier. The vehicle then struck a 2022 KIA, driven by Sybil L. Duncan, 43, of Etowah, Tenn.
Juan was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital, while a passenger, Alex Randy Marroquin, 21, of Fort Payne, was transported to Dekalb Regional Medical Center.
Duncan was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital.
