1 killed, 3 injured in overnight Tuscaloosa County shooting

Authorities are investigating a Tuscaloosa County shooting early Sunday that killed one man and injured three other people.

It wasn’t immediately clear what time the shooting happened, but the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit announced the incident shortly after 4 a.m.

Capt. Jack Kennedy said the shooting happened in the 1300 block of 58th Street East.

No additional information has been released.

The incident was one of two Alabama shootings in Sunday’s predawn hours that end in death and multiple injuries.

Shortly after 2 a.m., one person was killed and five others wounded outside the Shell gas station on Birmingham’s busy Third Avenue West.
