1 killed, 1 injured in east Alabama crash between pickup, tractor-trailer
A Friday morning crash in east Alabama left one man dead.
Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Bryan D. Collins. He was 63 and lived in Heflin.
The wreck happened at 8:34 a.m. on U.S. 431, about eight miles south of Heflin in Cleburne County.
Senior Trooper Vu Quang said Collins was driving a Ford Ranger that collided with a Freightliner tractor trailer driven by 65-year-old Terry H. Ray of Cusseta.
Collins was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ray was taken to Regional Medical Center in Anniston with undisclosed injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by troopers.
