A 69-year-old man was killed in a crash that also injured another truck driver.

The wreck happened at 11:20 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 80, about six miles west of Demopolis in Marengo County, said Alabama State Trooper Cpl. Reginal King.

Authorities said William M. Lancaster, of Eutaw, was driving a Freightliner tractor-trailer that struck a Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by 42-year-old James E. Bowden Jr. of Livingston.

Lancaster was pronounced dead on the scene. Bowden was taken to Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis with undisclosed injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
