1 injured when shots fired into Homewood apartment

An overnight shooting in Homewood left one man injured.

The gunfire rang out just before 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Aspen Circle, said Homewood police Sgt. John Carr.

It appears, Carr said, that an unknown suspect fired multiple shots into the victim’s apartment. The victim was struck at least one time.

He was taken to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was wounded.

The suspect has not yet been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
