Mobile police are investigating a fatal shooting outside a west Mobile gas station Thursday.

According to police, the shooting occurred at 10:11 p.m. at a Chevron gas station at 4126 Moffett Road. Upon arrival police discovered a vehicle, gas pump and a nearby home were struck by gunfire. No one inside the home was injured.

While on the scene, officers learned that a male victim was transported by a personal vehicle to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim was not released by police.

Upon further investigation, the officers discovered the gunfire originated from a vehicle that had entered the parking lot.
