A Killen man died in a one-vehicle crash this morning in Lauderdale County.

Cpl. Reginal M. King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the incident happened at about 5:40 a.m. Thursday on Lauderdale County 108, about five miles south of Lexington.

Daniel R. Dutton, 50, was injured when the 2019 Kenworth tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

According to King, Dutton was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
