1 dead after pedestrian struck by train Thursday night in Athens, police say
A pedestrian was killed after they were was struck by a train Thursday night in Athens.
Police officers responded to the railroad tracks over U.S. Highway 72 just after 7 p.m. Thursday, said Capt. Brett Constable.
The incident resulted in the pedestrian’s death, Constable said.
