A Marshall County man has been charged with manslaughter following a shooting early Saturday morning.

Colton Dozier, 31, of Albertville, was arrested Sunday night, according to jail records.

He is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on $50,000 bond.

According to Albertville police, officers were called to a residence on Oneonta Cutoff Road early Saturday morning on a shooting.

Daniel Long was found suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Two females and children were also found at the residence.

Dozier met police at the scene. and after a brief conversation, was taken into custody.

Long was transported to Marshall Medical Center South, where he died from his injuries, police said.
