1 dead, 1 in custody following fatal stabbing at Warrior apartment
One man is dead, and another is in custody after a fatal stabbing in Warrior.
Warrior police Chief Scott Praytor said the two men were together Friday morning when the suspect’s vehicle ran out of gas. The two, Praytor said, are often together.
They went to an apartment of another acquaintance to try to get gas. While there, and for unknown reasons, the victim and the suspect got into an argument, and the stabbing followed.
The suspect then fled the scene.
The killing happened about 8 a.m. at an apartment on the corner of Mimosa Street and Helen Street.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Praytor said police found the suspect later Friday morning. He is in custody and undergoing questioning by detectives.
The deadly stabbing is Warrior’s first homicide this year.
