One person was killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday in Huntsville, police said.

Officers responded to the wreck at Winchester Road and Fortune Drive around 2 p.m. Tuesday, said police spokeswoman Sydney Martin.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, Martin said.

A second victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
