A Huntsville man has been arrested following a shooting Friday night.

Huntsville police said officers responded to the 1000 block of County Road shortly after 6 p.m. in response to a shooting.

One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.

The department’s Special Victims Unit has charged Tyron Cornelius Ellison, 49, with domestic violence – first degree assault in connection with the shooting.

Police continue to investigate.
